Gildan

Probably best known for their high quality T shirts, Gildan are an American company, who started life in in Canada in 1946, producing activewear and childrens’ clothing. Over time, they’ve expanded their range of clothing to include workwear which is as well loved as their casual clothing.

With production plants across America and Asia to keep up with high demand for their uniform items, Gildan produce essentials like polo shirts and T shirts, as well as technical fabrics ideal for active staff – not just in the cotton fabrics which they know so well, but also in jersey and polyester. Gildan themselves say their uniform pieces are ideal for personalising.

As a large company, Gildan have comprehensive ethical policies, looking after their workers and the people living in the neighbourhoods around them. They’ve been named in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index every year since 2015, recognising their achievement in sustainability and environmental awareness.
